Challenge:


To increase response rates to banners used by Tiscali to promote their ADSL products. Create engagement.

Strategy:


By exploiting the desire of users to become first-person protagonists, we invented the first User Generated Banners, created in real-time, with the faces of the contestants who were voted most highly by users in the “Put your Face to It” contest. The online game allowed users to create their own vignettes by superimposing their own photos on the characters. The vignettes getting the highest number of votes became the visuals for future banners.

Results:


Enormous engagement and buzz developed by the project. Very high viral effect and banner response rate went from 0,06% to 0,21%. 150,000 visitors, 20,000 registered users, 2500 photos inserted.
